The material
The glass carafe from onomao is made in a family-run factory in Portugal. They are made from 80% recycled glass, which makes them a sustainable interior piece. The material glass offers a wide range of processing and shaping options. The glass carafes are hand-blown and then hot-ground. The bubble look in the glass carafe is created by sodium sprinkled on the surface. The glass carafe is robust and can be easily cleaned in the dishwasher.
The size
The glass carafe has a capacity of 750ml and is therefore large enough to serve a wide variety of drinks. Whether mineral water, a refreshing lemonade or chilled natural wine: the carafe is a practical companion and puts the drinks in the spotlight in style. Alternatively, we also like to fill the carafe with water and use it as a flower vase. But even without any contents, it is a beautiful accessory on the kitchen shelf or in the display cabinet. The glass carafe is also available in a set with large and small glasses.
The design
Our glass carafe has a modern design. It is mouth-blown from recycled glass. The carafe is cylindrical in shape and has a small spout for pouring. Its wide diameter means it sits firmly in the hand. The surface of the glass carafe is covered with small bubbles of different sizes and intensities. They are created by adding sodium to the molten glass. The bubbles are always slightly different, which makes each glass carafe unique.

Yes, the glasses can be cleaned in the dishwasher without any problems
The glasses are made from 80% recycled glass. Unfortunately, the use of 100% recycled glass is currently not possible in Portugal, as the recycling process there works differently than in Germany.
The glasses are mouth-blown in a family-run factory in the Marinha Grande region. The region in the north of Portugal is known for working with glass.
Our glasses are mouth-blown. To create the bubble effect, the mouth-blowers sprinkle some powder (sodium) onto the molten glass before giving it its shape. Since this is a real hand-crafted product, the amount, size and placement of the bubbles are absolutely unique from piece to piece.
