The design

Our ceramic home accessories also feature the typical onomao design: timeless and versatile. All products are handmade. Our storage jars, beeswax candles, and vases share the same glazes as our tableware, allowing them to be seamlessly combined. Other vases and soap dishes are hand-painted with colorful lines. Thanks to their classic design, the home accessories also make beautiful gifts that complement a wide variety of interior styles.

The material

Our home accessories are made from natural materials that create a warm and cozy atmosphere. The vases, storage jars, candle holders, and soap dishes are crafted from stoneware in small manufactories in Portugal. Our ceramic cups are filled with high-quality beeswax from Austria to create our candles. Combined with the wooden wick, the candle brings a comforting, homely feeling. Our soaps are made from natural ingredients such as olive oil, honey, and clay, and they exude a spicy, warm scent.

The colors

Our home accessories come in many different colors — from simple white to vibrant shades like green, blue, and purple, as well as patterned pieces. Our manufactory specializes in hand-painting. The colored lines on our vases and soap dishes are applied by hand with a brush. Our beeswax candles and jars are glazed using the reactive glazing technique. The minerals in the clay react differently with each firing, resulting in unique color gradients and textures.

To what extent do the products differ from the photos in the online store?

Due to the handmade production, all products differ slightly among themselves in shape, color and texture. This makes each piece unique and gives the products their individual charm.

Where are the products made?

We manufacture most of our products in Portugal. Our glasses products are made in the north of Spain.

Are the products manufactured sustainably?

The onomao products are made in manufactories in Portugal. This means they have shorter transport routes and less CO2 is emitted. We use only recycled or natural materials from the region. In order not to waste resources, we also buy products with small blemishes from our manufactures.

How do I take care of my tableware to keep it in good condition for a long time?

onomao products are designed for long-term use. They are dishwasher, oven, and microwave safe. Treat your tableware with care and avoid exposing it to drastic temperature changes, as this can cause cracking. With our matte glazes, cutlery marks may appear over time. However, these are only superficial and can usually be easily removed with baking soda and a soft cloth.

Delivery takes place within 3-5 days to Germany and within 4-6 days to Italy.
