SUSTAINABILITY IS A BASIC PRINCIPLE FOR US.
We want to act in a climate-friendly way to face the current challenges of climate change. Manufacturing products only makes sense if we try to be as sustainable as possible. Nothing else is acceptable these days. Our products should have a long service life and impact the environment as little as possible in the process.
PRODUCTS WITH A LONG LIFE SPAN ARE THE FIRST APPROACH OF SUSTAINABLE ACTION.
Our designs try to be as timeless as possible. At the same time, we have high quality standards, because for us, products with a long lifetime are the first approach to sustainable action.
FEWER EMISSIONS DUE TO SHORT DELIVERY ROUTES.
Since we produce exclusively in Europe, our products have short transport routes with less CO₂ emissions. Your orders will be shipped climate-neutrally from our warehouse in Cologne with DHL GoGreen. Climate neutral means that DHL offsets the emissions by investing in global climate protection projects.
FAIR WORKING CONDITIONS THROUGH OUR PRODUCTION IN EUROPE.
We want to cooperate with our partners at eye level. In order to be able to guarantee fair cooperations, we are in close exchange with our manufacturers. We have been working with some of our producers since our founding. We trust each other and have been able to grow together. Due to the production in Europe, EU labor standards are guaranteed.
WE DO NOT WANT TO WASTE RESOURCES.
In order to avoid products being manufactured and disposed of unnecessarily, we have decided to also buy the B-goods from our producers.
That way, goods with minor defects can also be used and we can prevent our production causing unnecessary emissions and using up raw materials.
WE USE RECYCLED OR NATURAL MATERIALS.
The raw material of our ceramics is a pure natural product and comes from the region of our manufacturers. Our carpets are woven from fabric scraps from the Portuguese fashion industry and are thus made of materials that are returned to the cycle and given a new life. Our glasses are made from 100% recycled glass. Our wool blankets are made of pure new wool and the sheep live in the immediate vicinity of the manufacturer.
VERSATILE PRODUCTS WITH DURABILITY.
We want our products to contribute beyond sheer usability but also to have a positive effect to a positive atmosphere and well-being. Our ceramics can be combined in terms of color and at the product level and are also used outside of table culture—timeless design and functionality as the basis for sustainable use.
OBJECTS WITH PERSONALITY - EACH PIECE IS UNIQUE.
We combine traditional crafts - pottery, weaving, and glassblowing - with modern and timeless designs. Manual steps play an essential role in the creation of our products. Each product is taken in hand and further processed into a unique piece. We work with those manufacturers where not all processes are automated yet.
