3 facts about our stoneware dessert plates

Small dessert plates with a modern design. Made of stoneware for your sweet treats. Also available as a set.

The size

Our small dessert plates are ideal for treats like ice cream, sorbet, and mousse. Their height and shape make them easily stackable, offering convenient storage. These small plates are perfect for cakes. All plates are handcrafted sustainably and fairly in Portugal.

The material

Our dessert plates are sustainably crafted from stoneware in a manufactory in Portugal. Unlike earthenware, stoneware is fired at higher temperatures, making it denser, less porous, and more durable. As a result, the dessert plates are robust and long-lasting. They can be easily cleaned in the dishwasher and are safe for oven use.

The design

Our dessert plates feature a modern design with a rounded edge, making them stackable and space-saving. In contrast, the tapas and mezze plates have a steeper edge, giving them a unique, contemporary look. All variants are perfect for the stylish presentation of desserts and offer versatile use. Whether for small cakes, mousse, or tiramisu, our plates showcase desserts beautifully and combine functionality with modern design.

Food culture

For many, high-quality food has become a fundamental part of their life culture. Conscious nutrition and organically grown food are experiencing a new cult.

Eating also means rest and enjoyment. It is often the time when family members come together from their individual lives and spend time together around the table. Intense communication takes place during this ritual, which otherwise often finds little space.

With onomao ceramics we try to contribute to this culture of life. Through sustainable production and fair manufacturing conditions, they extend the cycle of conscious food intake. Our desire is to develop durable products that visually embellish the ritual of eating for many years.
