NATOMO PET BOWLS FOR DOGS & CATS | JIMU KOBAYASHI × ONOMAO

Jimu Kobayashi designed the “Natomo” pet bowls along with their illustrations for onomao — five different motifs, each with its own character. His playful visual language combines clear lines with a light sense of joy and captures small truths of everyday life.

The bowls are available in two sizes and two color variations: cream with black illustrations and a wide rim in orange or blue. Each piece is hand-painted in a Portuguese manufactory, making every bowl a unique object with small, charming variations. Made of stoneware, dishwasher safe, and designed for everyday use.

About Jimu Kobayashi

Jimu Kobayashi is a ceramic artist who works in his studio in Düsseldorf. Shaped by Japanese roots and a fine sensitivity for line and form, he combines drawing and ceramics into a light, playful - sometimes reduced - visual language. There has already been a previous collaboration with onomao; currently, his illustrations define the Atelier onomao edition of the “Natomo” pet bowls. Developed under the motto SAME FOOD, SAME TIME, SAME PLACE, the slogans are immortalized on the bowls in illustrated lettering. His works tell stories of closeness and everyday life - clear lines, small gestures, and plenty of space for stillness and humor.

Part of the exclusive onomao Atelier collection

Atelier onomao is a space for design, in close collaboration with designers and artists. Here, disciplines merge to create creative objects.

The result is handmade interior products that capture the essence of design and bring functional creativity into living spaces.

We love pets

In the bond between animals and humans, some of the most beautiful friendships are often formed. Like a silent agreement, both live side by side and share their daily rituals. This connection clearly benefits both – and that is why dogs and cats in particular are a natural counterbalance in our hectic, tightly scheduled households.
Daily feeding, going for walks – these moments bring owner and animal together at the same times again and again. Appointments that need no calendar. Moments that bring lightness and joy without having to be mentioned.
Dog and cat bowls can be seen as the ornaments of these moments. The animal probably doesn’t care about the design. But for humans, it is an expression of responsibility and affection to make these rituals beautiful.

Questions & Answers

More Questions & Answers
To what extent do the products differ from the photos in the online store?

Due to the handmade production, all products differ slightly among themselves in shape, color and texture. This makes each piece unique and gives the products their individual charm.

Where are the products made?

We manufacture most of our products in Portugal. Our glasses products are made in the north of Spain.

Are the products manufactured sustainably?

The onomao products are made in manufactories in Portugal. This means they have shorter transport routes and less CO2 is emitted. We use only recycled or natural materials from the region. In order not to waste resources, we also buy products with small blemishes from our manufactures.

How do I take care of my tableware to keep it in good condition for a long time?

onomao products are designed for long-term use. They are dishwasher, oven, and microwave safe. Treat your tableware with care and avoid exposing it to drastic temperature changes, as this can cause cracking. With our matte glazes, cutlery marks may appear over time. However, these are only superficial and can usually be easily removed with baking soda and a soft cloth.
