A strong doppio or an espresso with frothed oat milk adorn the espresso cup. It is also a quick-change artist: you can also enjoy a fruit schnapps from it after a heavy cheese fondue - and it even does the job as an egg cup.

Our espresso cup is enthroned on a delicate base. The clear form language makes it a classic. It was produced in a manufactory in Portugal.

The espresso cup of our collection CLASSIC is available in several glazes. Glazed and unglazed, stoneware is suitable for cleaning in the dishwasher.

"Classic" is handmade in the north of Portugal. Its classic, reduced shapes are designed to support a long use.

With our matte glazes, cutlery abrasion may occur over time. However, this is only superficial and can usually be easily removed with baking soda and a soft cloth.
Care should be taken not to expose the ceramic to dramatic temperature changes (e.g. pouring hot liquid into an ice-cold bowl or cup), as this can cause cracking.

Handcrafted in Portugal, it carries both character and durability.

The collection is available in various glazes and color worlds: matte dove blue feels refined and tranquil, while the hand-painted version with blue-and-white stripes makes a bold statement on the table. Whether plates, bowls, or mugs – all forms combine consistently to create a harmonious set for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

LOYAL COMPANIONS

Most people think very little about the number of everyday actions. The fact that we pick up a mug or cup many, many times a day, warm ourselves by it, smell its contents, is one of these automated everyday actions that take place virtually incidentally.

But it is precisely these actions that represent moments of real life. They enrich our everyday life. Objects such as mugs and cups become faithful companions through our lives. They wake us up in the morning with a cup of coffee, they ensure that we are sufficiently hydrated during the day with plenty of herbal tea, they assist us during a cold with a hot ginger infusion, they help us digest a hearty meal with an espresso before the evening really gets going, they support us during breastfeeding with fennel tea and they ensure a peaceful night's sleep with a good evening tea.

That is life. Life with drinking vessels.

THE KLASSIK CERAMICS MANUFACTORY

In the course of developing our second tableware collection KLASSIK, we went in search of another ceramic manufactory. We landed at a family business, which sits in the rolling hills behind Porto. The family looks back on a long ceramic tradition. Working with clay has been consistently passed down and specialized from generation to generation.

Our KLASSIK collection is hand tamped before a drying process to clean and refine it to be glazed before firing. Creative hand-painting is one of the manufactory's hobbyhorses. Thus KLASSIK gets her stripes missed in loving handwork in the small studio.

To what extent do the products differ from the photos in the online store?

Due to the handmade production, all products differ slightly among themselves in shape, color and texture. This makes each piece unique and gives the products their individual charm.

Where are the products made?

We manufacture most of our products in Portugal. Our glasses products are made in the north of Spain.

Are the products manufactured sustainably?

The onomao products are made in manufactories in Portugal. This means they have shorter transport routes and less CO2 is emitted. We use only recycled or natural materials from the region. In order not to waste resources, we also buy products with small blemishes from our manufactures.

How do I take care of my tableware to keep it in good condition for a long time?

onomao products are designed for long-term use. They are dishwasher, oven, and microwave safe. Treat your tableware with care and avoid exposing it to drastic temperature changes, as this can cause cracking. With our matte glazes, cutlery marks may appear over time. However, these are only superficial and can usually be easily removed with baking soda and a soft cloth.
