3 facts about our stoneware cake plates

Our pasta plates are distinguished by their deep shape, resembling a bowl with high edges. They come in various designs. The pasta plates have a slightly curved rim, which holds the sauce and makes it easy to twirl the noodles. Our deep plates are versatile and also suitable for pasta. They feature a modern, steeper edge. We suggest choosing according to your taste and enjoying.

The colors

Our deep plates, perfect for pasta but also suitable for many other dishes, are available in blue, white, beige, gray, and many other colors. Handcrafting ensures that the color shades vary slightly each time, giving you many unique pieces in your cupboard. Whether matte or glossy glaze, solid color or dipped: all colors are durable, and the pasta plates are dishwasher safe.

Pasta plate sets

A steaming pot of pasta brings people together: we love to enjoy it together. Our pasta plates are also available in discounted sets, for example, for 2 or 6 people. The handmade pasta plates not only provide a beautiful visual foundation for pasta but also invite you to spend time together at the table. All sets are handmade in a manufactory in Portugal and make a special gift for pasta lovers.

The ceramics

Our manufactories produce the pasta plates in traditional handcrafted stoneware. Unlike earthenware, this material is finer and more durable as it is fired at higher temperatures. We ensure that the clay for our ceramics is sourced from the area around the production sites to keep transport distances as short as possible. The ceramic pasta plates can be easily cleaned in the dishwasher and can even be warmed in the oven.

FOOD CULTURE

For many, high-quality food has become a fundamental part of their life culture. Conscious nutrition and organically grown food are experiencing a new cult.

Eating also means rest and enjoyment. It is often the time when family members come together from their individual lives and spend time together around the table. Intense communication takes place during this ritual, which otherwise often finds little space.

With onomao ceramics we try to contribute to this culture of life. Through sustainable production and fair manufacturing conditions, they extend the cycle of conscious food intake. Our desire is to develop durable products that visually embellish the ritual of eating for many years.
