3 facts about our stoneware espresso cups

espresso sets

Making coffee and then enjoying it: an everyday ritual in many parts of the world. Celebrated as a moment of peace alone or together. Our espresso cups are also available individually, in practical sets of 2 and 6, and in a breakfast and coffee set at a cheaper price.

The design

Our espresso cups made of stoneware ceramic combine functionality and style. As is typical for the traditional collection, even the smallest product is straight and simple, while the classic espresso cup is a little more bulbous and raised on a base. Both are characterized by their compact design, which optimally preserves the heat of the espresso. Whether dipped, striped or uniquely shaded using reactive glazing - we offer a wide variety of colors even for the very small ones. Perfect for coffee lovers who value design and enjoyment.

The colors

Italian design classic meets Portuguese craftsmanship: Espresso cups were specially developed for enjoying espresso in order to bring out the aroma of the intense coffee to its full potential. Our espresso cups without handles are available in three different collections and a complete range of colors. Timeless, classic colors such as white and natural tones radiate elegance and simplicity. Cups in blue, green or rose tones add color accents to the kitchen table, livening up the table and adding an individual touch. Whether plain or colorful, completely glazed in color or dipped, the espresso cups are a stylish accessory for every coffee lover.

FAITHFUL PARTNERS

We usually give the least thought to the number of everyday actions. The fact that we pick up a mug or cup many, many times a day, warm ourselves with it, and smell the contents are all automated everyday actions that take place almost in the background.

But it is precisely these actions that represent moments of real life. They enrich our everyday lives. Objects such as mugs and cups become faithful companions throughout our lives. They wake us up in the morning with a coffee, they ensure we drink enough fluids during the day with plenty of herbal tea, they support us when we have a cold with a hot ginger infusion, they help us digest a hearty meal with an espresso before the evening really begins, they support us during breastfeeding with fennel tea and they ensure a peaceful sleep with a good evening tea.

That's life. Life with drinking vessels.

Questions & Answers

more Questions & Answers
To what extent do the products differ from the photos in the online store?

Due to the handmade production, all products differ slightly among themselves in shape, color and texture. This makes each piece unique and gives the products their individual charm.

Where are the products made?

We manufacture most of our products in Portugal. Our glasses products are made in the north of Spain.

Are the products manufactured sustainably?

The onomao products are made in manufactories in Portugal. This means they have shorter transport routes and less CO2 is emitted. We use only recycled or natural materials from the region. In order not to waste resources, we also buy products with small blemishes from our manufactures.

How do I take care of my tableware to keep it in good condition for a long time?

onomao products are designed for long-term use. They are dishwasher, oven, and microwave safe. Treat your tableware with care and avoid exposing it to drastic temperature changes, as this can cause cracking. With our matte glazes, cutlery marks may appear over time. However, these are only superficial and can usually be easily removed with baking soda and a soft cloth.
