Our supply chain
OUR RAW MATERIALS
When choosing our raw materials, we ensure that they are of natural origin or ecologically sustainable, with the least possible impact on the environment. If we cannot use renewable raw materials, as in the case of our ceramics and wool blankets, we deliberately make sure that the materials are recycled or used by us before they are disposed of.
The raw material of our ceramics is a pure natural product and is mined in the region of our manufacturers. Our carpets are woven from fabric or yarn remnants of the Portuguese fashion industry and thus consist of materials that are returned to the cycle and thus get a new life. They would otherwise find no use and would have to be disposed of.
The drinking glasses and carafes are made of 100% recycled glass. Our wool blankets are made of pure new wool, which comes from the immediate environment of the manufacturer.
FROM THE IDEA TO THE PRODUCT
The realization of new products is based on a close exchange between our designers and manufacturers: How can the manufacturers implement our ideas? Is the design feasible? Which materials make sense for the use of the desired product?
The initial idea and design, through the sampling process, to the finished prototype takes about three months. The product is not manufactured until the prototype passes our quality control.
Before we launch a new product, we think carefully about what makes sense as a supplement or extension to the existing range. Because even though we are continually expanding our product portfolio, we want to maintain our core values.
PRODUCTION: FAIRLY PRODUCED IN PORTUGAL AND SPAIN
Environmentally-friendly production is close to our hearts. Therefore, we work together with small manufacturers, in which careful handling of our environment's resources and craftsmanship and tradition are cultivated.
Manual work steps play an essential role in the creation of our products. We work exclusively with manufacturers where not all processes are automated.
The production in Europe enables us to visit the factories regularly and to be in direct and personal exchange with our production partners to guarantee fair cooperation at eye level.
The production in Europe also guarantees EU labor standards.
LOGISTICS AND TRANSPORT: SHORT DELIVERY ROUTES WITHIN EUROPE
Production within the EU guarantees short delivery routes with less CO2 emissions. This already starts with our materials: All raw materials come from the region of our manufacturer or are purchased regionally in Portugal and Spain to avoid long transport routes and unnecessary supply chains. We also receive deliveries from our producers bundled in Cologne and deliberately avoid numerous small individual deliveries.
THE COLOGNE LOCATION: SHORT DISTANCES IN EVERYDAY WORKING LIFE
Our warehouse is located in Cologne, just like our office and store, so that we can avoid unnecessarily long distances in our day-to-day work. Our fulfillment service provider also only works with sustainable labels.
SHIPPING: WE SHIP PLASTIC-FREE AND CO₂-NEUTRAL
We ship our orders completely plastic-free and use only FSC-certified paper and cardboard as packaging material. To avoid unnecessary packaging waste, we try to reuse and recycle all packages from returns and deliveries from our producers. By default, we ship our products with DHL GoGreen to support CO₂-neutral shipping.

We want our products to be used in many different ways. Our ceramics can be combined wonderfully and used outside the dining table and kitchen. The carafes - whether made of glass or stoneware - are not only suitable for your favorite drink, but also cut a fine figure as a vase. Our wool blankets made of 100% virgin wool should give you many years of pleasure due to their high quality and classic design. They not only provide pleasant warmth, we also like to use them as elegant bedspreads.
PASS ON, REPAIR, REUSE
To ensure that you can use our products for a long time, we take special care that they are high quality and timeless. Quality plays an important role in the choice of our materials and the production process. Should something break or no longer appeal to you, we would like to motivate you to pass on or repair the products instead of disposing of them prematurely.
