Our ceramics are made in manufactories in Portugal, and the raw material comes from Portugal as well. For both of our tableware collections, Klassik and Traditionell, we use stoneware.
Stoneware is fired at a minimum of 1,130 degrees Celsius to achieve its characteristic density, and with it its strength. That is why our pieces are watertight even without a glaze.
Because stoneware is a natural material and every batch of clay differs slightly in composition, the colour of our products can vary a little from piece to piece.

Questions & Answers
Due to the handmade production, all products differ slightly among themselves in shape, color and texture. This makes each piece unique and gives the products their individual charm.
We manufacture most of our products in Portugal. Our glasses products are made in the north of Spain.
onomao products are designed for long-term use. They are dishwasher, oven, and microwave safe. Treat your tableware with care and avoid exposing it to drastic temperature changes, as this can cause cracking. With our matte glazes, cutlery marks may appear over time. However, these are only superficial and can usually be easily removed with baking soda and a soft cloth.
