Accessibility Statement
This statement applies to the online shop at onomao.com, operated by Slow Interior OHG, Marienstr. 3, 50825 Cologne, Germany. We want everyone to be able to browse and shop with us, with or without a disability. That’s why we are continuously working to make our shop more accessible.
1. Our service
At onomao.com you can buy handmade tableware and home accessories from Portuguese manufacturers, such as plates, mugs and cups, bowls, tableware sets, vases, candle holders and glasses. The shop includes product search and navigation, product pages with descriptions and images, variant selection, the shopping cart, and the ordering and payment process. The shop is available in German, English and French.
2. Accessibility status
As our benchmark, we use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, and the harmonised standard EN 301 549, as provided for by the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz, BFSG), which implements the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882), and its accompanying ordinance (BFSGV). Our shop currently meets these requirements in part.
We regularly review our shop using automated tests and manual spot checks. We are removing identified barriers step by step, currently with a focus on contrast and small controls. As we are constantly developing our shop, new barriers may arise in the process. Our last review took place in October 2026.
3. How to use our shop
- Keyboard: Use the Tab key to move from link to link and from button to button; Shift + Tab takes you back. Press Enter or the space bar to activate the selected element. The “Skip to content” link takes you straight to the main content.
- Zoom: Press Ctrl and “+” (Cmd and “+” on a Mac) to enlarge the display step by step; Ctrl or Cmd and “0” resets it.
- Adjust the display: You can adapt text size, colours and contrast to your needs in your browser or operating system settings.
- Screen readers: Headings and the “Skip to content” link make it easier to find your way around, including with screen readers such as VoiceOver (Apple), TalkBack (Android) or NVDA (Windows). Images have alternative text, which we are continuously improving.
